About Us

Kelsey Smith - WWN founder

Back in 2018, Kelsey Smith had the initiative and drive to begin London’s first whisky event exclusively for women. Started out of Milroys of Soho, a specialist whisky bar founded in 1964, Women’s Whisky Night was a dedicated night every month where female representatives of brands would bring delightful drams to other women seeking them.

WWN weathered covid restrictions and lockdowns by organising home deliveries and zoom tastings, and now continues to grow, offering tastings and events out of Milroys of Soho’s East London sister venue - Milroys of Spitalfields.

Kelsey headed back to her native Australia, and so now the team is comprised of Thea Day and Charlotte Barker, both ex Milroys stalwarts. Charlotte now works for industry giant Diageo, and Thea now works behind the scenes at new Soho bar Dram.

Thea and Charlotte - your WWN team

Our aim is to create an inviting space for people to drink whisky away from the traditional male-orientated concept

We don’t want to keep the status quo; we’re here for the questions (there are no stupid questions!) stories and fun

We want to give you the power, knowledge and confidence so that you can ask for whatever you want to drink, however you want to drink it
